Hi this is Koci here! I am a fresh graduate from University of British Columbia, in Vancouver, Canada, double majoring in Linguistics and Psychology, CGPA 3.5. I also attained TESL Certificate in the same institution. With my overseas training of lesson plans, classroom management and student assessment, this certificate has equipped me to become a successful and creative candidate. It has broadened my horizon of understanding ESL struggles. I am passionate about teaching ESL. Over the past summers in 2014 and 2015, as well as the coming 2016 summer, I have been working as a Student Teacher and Dean of Student in Summerbridge Hong Kong, an organization which aims to provide a fun, creative and inexpensive English immersion to underprivileged students in Hong Kong, as well as to develop students’ confidence and leadership. This invaluable experience confirmed my career decision to become an ESL teacher and my philosophy of education on top of knowledge delivery, an efficacious curriculum should also be creative and student-centered. I was born in Toronto, Canada and was raised in Hong Kong.
