Hello, Im Brian I am 18 and I am about to take an undergraduate course and hopefully Masters in mechanical engineering at University College London (UCL). I studied in Diocesan Boys School from Primary 1 to form 2, then I got accepted to study at Brighton College, although I enjoyed studying in Diocesan Boys School I wanted to receive better education overseas. I have spent the last 5 years in Brighton receiving qualifications such as GCSEs and several awards such as Physics Olympiad Bronze Award and Physics AS Challenge Bronze Award along with several math related accomplishments. Unfortunately due to the corona-virus pandemic I am unable to complete my A-Level exams however I have been predicted 3A*s and one A.
At the college I am a member of the Physics Extension society and the economics society while being a useful member of the homework club where I along with several others help students ranging from form 1 to form 7 with their math homework or any questions they have regarding mathematics. I have tutored students aged 11, 16 and17 in an one on one scenario. I also have experience in working in an university admission consultancy (UNIKEY ACADEMY) as a tutor while handling administrative work occasionally. The subjects I took in A-Level were Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Economics, these were the subjects that I excelled in and that I believe I would be most capable to teach. I have been learning with English as the primary teaching language however I should have no problem explaining concepts with Cantonese and Mandarin as I have proficiency and am fluent in all three languages however I would stick to English terms during teaching as finding terms I have learnt in Chinese can be quite tedious.
Timings can be flexible as I prepare for pre-university coursework. I am able to travel to many districts depending on the case. I would like to help anyone keen to learn about the subjects mentioned and maybe even further their knowledge which I can hopefully inspire them to consider what they would like to pursue in university and later in life. My hobbies include football, origami, robotics and singing. I look forward to teaching many of you soon.
