Winnie is an experienced Hong Kong-based music educator, performing musician, collaborative pianist, and arts administrator. She holds a Master’s degree in Music Education (passed with Distinction) and multiple professional qualifications, including the Associate of Trinity College London (ATCL) Performing Diploma, as well as ABRSM Grade 8 Piano and Grade 8 Theory certificates. She studied classical piano under Dr. Cherry Tsang and learned jazz performance under Mr. Alan Kwan and Mr. Bowen Li.
In her early career, Wong was repeatedly invited to collaborate with the Hong Kong Harmonica Association as an orchestral accompanist, performing on international stages across the globe. Her footprint includes the World Harmonica Festival in Germany, the Asia Pacific Harmonica Festival in Singapore, the Shanghai Expo, and the Bahrain-China Cultural Exchange Week. In recent years, she has focused on local performances, participating in "Community Arts Biennale" projects such as Ensemble in North District. She was also invited by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Shanghai to record music videos promoting Hong Kong culture. In 2023, she was invited to perform at "Hong Kong Week 2023@Bangkok" in Thailand, further showcasing Hong Kongs vibrant music culture. Additionally, Wong is active in the local jazz scene, having performed at events including PMQs "Merry Vibes 2022," cultural activities for the "Madame Song: Pioneering Art and Fashion in China" exhibition, the "2024 Community Cultural Ambassador Project – Alan Kwan & Karen Ye: Lets Swing," and Tai Kwuns "2025 Chilled Steps."
As a music educator, Wong brings over ten years of teaching and international competition accompaniment experience. She specializes in classical, jazz, and pop piano instruction, teaching across schools, community centers, and her private studio to students aged 3 to 70. Adapting her teaching to each individual, she designs personalized curricula that create a relaxed and supportive environment. This approach helps students develop strong musical perception and learning skills while fostering self-discipline. Wong also prioritizes parent communication, working collaboratively to create the optimal learning environment and clear goals for each student.
Known for her patient and meticulous teaching style, Wong is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. She is dedicated to fostering an interactive and engaging atmosphere where students can find joy and growth through music.
